I would like to introduce myself. My name us Chester Smith. Most everyone just calls me Chet. I answered teh call of the Lord to the ministry when I was in my very early thirties. I attended Nazarene Bible College and then on to Bethany to complete my BS. I later pursued post graduate studies for my masters and doctorate in pastoral ministry. My wife and I pastored for 30 years before being reassigned to other tyeps of ministry. We currently serve on the ministerial staff at Temple First Church as the senior Adult Pastor.

Senior Adult Ministries in our local churches, the South Texas District, and across our denomination exist for the purpose of providing a Christ-centered ministry to adults in their 50's and over. We recognize this age group is one of the fastest growing segments of American society. As a part of the South Texas District we challenge our churches to utilize their individual spiritual gifts to reach others for Christ. A very positive way for us to reach the baby boomers and other seniors is to provide a means of fellowship and spiritual growth.

We are asking each church to sumbit the name of a person in each local congregation who will serve as a contact person.
