Brian was born and bred in Wichita, KS. He graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene
University in 1988 with a B.A. in Education and later earned a Masters degree in
Ministerial Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. Since graduation he has
served as a classroom teacher, athletic director, coach, production supervisor,
and regional director for an oil company.
In the way of formal ministry as an ordained elder Brian has served in pastoral
positions at 3 Nazarene churches before he and his family moved to the Dominican
Republic to serve as missionaries for 2 years. His most recent assignment as a
Nazarene missionary included the coordination of evangelism, church growth and
Work & Witness in Panama, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. |
In January of 2001, he and his family moved to Houston coordinating several
aspects of NYC. During this time he established a Nazarene Compassionate
Ministries center, Urban Link. He continues to serve in a voluntary role as the
Exec. Director.
In August, 2003 he began serving as the Asst. District Superintendent for the
South Texas District. He is also the Dir. of Nazarene Disaster Response for the
Gulf Coast Region.
Brian feels blessed to have been happily married for 18 years to Deborah
(Cantrell) who he fell in love with while attending college. She is a pastor's
kid, and has a passion for all aspects of compassionate ministries. Together
they are raising their four children, Bryson, Eric, David, and Sarah. |
