"We are excited about our denomination's mission statement of 'making Christlike
disciples in the nations'. I trust that your church is embracing this
emphasis on fulfilling our Lord's commission that he's given all of us as His
followers.
We are looking forward to gathering together with our district family on
Thursday and Friday, May 1 & 2, 2008 in the North Austin area. We will
conduct our annual assembly business, hear from district ministry leaders,
ordain ministerial candidates, and most importantly, unite our hearts together
in a time of inspiring worship, prayer, and hearing from God's Word. I
know you will want to be a part of this great event.
In an effort to assist you in your planning we have compiled some helpful
resources for you. They are listed below for your review.

Holiness Literature and Curriculum:

Nazarene Publishing House will provide resources for you to
review, and special discount prices to our local churches. |
|
Ministry Focused Resources:
|
Ministry resources will be available along with experienced
ministry leaders you can visit with about your local church needs. There
will be several displays established throughout the facility to assist you will
missions, youth ministry, and discipleship. |
|
Meals:
|
We are in the process of making arrangements with Party Target for box lunches
that will be made available to you at Shoreline. Cost will be $7 each and
will include deli sliced turkey on a crescent roll, chips, dessert, and drink.
Tickets must be purchased in advance through the District Resource Center. Tickets will
not be offered at the event, so consider purchasing these when we send our the
details in February. Please don't feel like this is the only option for
your lunch plans. We have provided information below on several eating
establishments within the area from which you may choose. There will not
be any arrangements made for meals to be delivered for the evening, so you will
need to explore the area for a place to eat. |

Multi-media resources:
|
Cornerstone Audio Visual will be with us this year, so there will be audio and
video resources available for you to purchase and take home to share with your
church family. |
|
Snacks:
|
There will be a coffee shop available to us while we are at Shoreline.
They will offer drinks and snacks throughout the day. |
|
Children's Ministry:
|
There will be a special service planned for children K-4th grade
Friday evening. Childcare will be available for children 4 years old and
under throughout the entire two day event. |
|

|
You may want to contact the Chamber of Commerce in Round Rock

Voting Process:
|
In an effort to maximize our time during the business session we
have established a voting room within Shoreline Christian Center to take care of
this. We will follow similar guidelines as we did at our last assembly. We
will keep it as simple as possible. More information regarding the
ballots, candidate profiles, voting room location, and guidelines will be send
to you at least two weeks prior to the District Assembly. |

We have made arrangements with several hotels within close
proximity of Shoreline Christian Center for you to choose from. Please
