Exodus helps us understand how God keeps His promises and works in His time to bring about His will. We learn how a group of slaves became a nation known as God's people, the Israelites. 1 and 2 Samuel introduces us to Samuel, Saul, and David. We discover that God's people demanded a king and suffered the results of that demand. We discover how Jerusalem became the center of Jewish religion.
